“The Max Fire Box is an excellent addition to our fire training equipment. Our agency will be utilizing our Max Fire Box to effectively teach fire behavior during both initial fire training as well as ongoing in-service trainings. The Max Fire Box allows us to do so efficiently at our headquarters facility in a way that limits overtime and dedicated training days at an offsite location. The Max Fire Box has greatly enhanced our ability to provide quality real world training to our staff that will enhance their knowledge and safety.”

Amazing training, we are already discussing the many ways we want to incorporate the Max Fire Box, Phase 1, and Phase 2 into our training. The craftsmanship and attention to detail far exceeded our expectations.

As the training director for the Commonwealth of Kentucky, I am constantly looking for props to enhance our delivery to the fire service.  When I first saw the Max Fire Box (phase I), I knew that I needed to see it in person as I thought it would benefit our training program.

From the first time that I spoke to Shawn, I was able to recognize his dedication to training firefighters and his commitment to delivering a quality product.  Kentucky Fire Commission/State Fire Rescue Training was able to purchase 15 Max Fire Box Phase I units from Shawn.  We have used those multiple times over the last few years and have seen firefighters travel many miles just to attend those sessions.  The products are well built and the fact that Shawn will stand behind his product is a testament to the person/business that defines him.

We have since purchased three Max Fire Box Phase II units.  We are now in the process of offering this as an additional tool to show the fire behavior, flow path, ventilation, scene size-up, etc.  I can say that I have not seen a more durable product on the market that can withstand the use that we have in Kentucky.  The products that Shawn manufactures has given us the ability to take the units to the fire service and show them what to expect on scene and discuss techniques that can ultimately save their lives.

Max Fire Box Phase I:
The simplicity of the product is excellent.  The fire loads and fire box designed and provided by Shawn are the perfect design to bring classroom learning to life.  Any Training Officer can read from a PowerPoint.  However, a lot of people learn from visual cues.  This product not only demonstrates the meanings of the words, such as backdraft and flashover and the phases of fire, it is those visual cues that future firefighters will remember.  This is a product I believe in and the value it gives as a learning tool is second to none.

Max Fire Box Phase II
This product is amazing.  It not only lets the recruit firefighter learn what the words mean, but it also lets seasoned firefighters use skills that otherwise would not be possible without a full-scale house to burn.  The advantages of showing fire growth, proper ventilation, use of the Thermal Imaging Camera, proper use of water, and the visual cues that go with learning, make this product one of the most advantageous learning tools available to fire departments.   Nowhere else have I found a product where I can reuse live fire over and over again and all I have to do is purchase the fuel loads from Shawn which he makes readily available.   We learn as we play.  This tool lets us learn so we prevent us from getting hurt, or worse yet, killed.  This product is hands down one of the best simulators I have ever worked with, and I encourage every fire department to invest in it.

We purchased the Max Fire Box Phase II for our Fire Management Program at Sullivan East High School in upper east Tennessee. Our program trains high school students on the skills and education on how to become a professional firefighter. This purchase has proven to be a great educational tool for the students to learn, in a “hands on” way, several of the key terms and techniques of the firefighting experience.
The construction of the product is very impressive at first glance but after using the product, it really shows the thought and work that has gone into its creation. Every piece of the product is top quality and built exceedingly well. It is very apparent that extensive research has gone into the process of creating this product. I have demonstrated this product to several other instructors and their consistent reaction has been, “Wow! This guy has thought of everything!”
The ease of set up, functionality and educational value has proven to be one of the best purchases we have ever made for our program, not to mention the customer support we have received. Shawn came to our school with the delivery of the product for the initial setup and a “train the trainer session.” Shawn also delivered a presentation to our students. His knowledge, experience and passion for the career of firefighting made a huge impression on our students. Our experience with Shawn and this product has proven to be invaluable.
